Good Morning Kingsmill!

Today is off to a cold and windy start but we will warm up as the day goes on to a high of 55°. Winds will be 10-20 mph out of the Northwest with sunny skies. Carts will be 90 degrees off the path today but please try and avoid any low areas that may still be wet. It’s an exciting day for our agronomy team as we will be charging up our irrigation system, yet another sign that winter is almost over and spring is getting closer. If you see any running water around the golf courses today please try and avoid driving through it as we have to bleed the air off the system as we charge up. Thank you all for working with us and as always we look forward to seeing you out playing some golf.

River, Plantation and Woods Courses are opened.

Monday, March 6

Good Morning Kingsmill!

The forecast for today calls for mostly sunny skies with a high in the low 60’s and light and variable winds at 3-5 mph out of the Northeast. We are still very wet and will remain cart path only but we will be allowing handicap flags as necessary. This week is a big one for our agronomy team as we will be painting our tees, fairways and greens complexes on the River Course throughout the week, starting with the academy green this morning. Please avoid going through these freshly painted areas until after the paint has had time to dry. We will have updates daily on which areas paint will be applied but it is imperative that we do not drive through it while it is still wet as this will track the paint into the rough and ruin the uniformity of the paint itself. As always thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you all out playing some golf.
