Good Morning Kingsmill!

The forecast for today calls for sunny skies with Northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph and a high of 57°. The golf courses are still wet and will be cart path only with no exception for handicap flags. The aeration project at the Woods Course has gone well despite the wet weather and will be completed by the end of the day. We are nearing completion of the tree work we planned for this winter and the irrigation projects necessary for more consistent water management. Although its a bit cooler out it is still great golf weather and we hope to see you all out playing. Have a great day! (One week until The Masters starts! The real sign of the start of the golf season.)

Good Morning Kingsmill!

Today’s weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of 60°. Winds will be light and variable out of the North between 2 and 5 mph. Rain totals overnight came to .6 inches and we will remain cart path only with no exception for handicap flags. The driving range will be closed today due to standing water, we hope to have it back opened by tomorrow. Lately as we have been out working around the courses we have seen several players ignoring the cart path only ruling and driving through turf when they shouldn’t. The cart path rules are put in place to protect and ensure the long term health of the turf. Several golfers have even pulled us aside to mention how often they see other players breaking these rules. With that being said we ask that you all do your part and not only follow the rule but hold the people in your groups accountable. At the end of the day it will make the golf course better for everyone. As always thank you for your support and understanding, we look forward to seeing all of you out enjoying the courses and playing the greatest game ever played!

Good Morning Kingsmill!

The forecast for today is a bit cooler with a high of 61°, overcast skies and winds out of the Northeast at 5-10 mph. Total rainfall accumulation for yesterday was just over half an inch and it will be cart path only today. Aeration has begun at the Woods Course which will remain closed through Thursday. It’s definitely very exciting to see the courses start to green up as the warm weather gets closer and closer. Although these rainy and dreary days do not make for the best golf weather they are certainly very beneficial to jump starting the turf fertility and we will see dividends very soon. Have a great day!
