Good Morning Kingsmill,

The air outside is extra refreshing this morning. There are definitely some signs of Fall out here. The forecast for today calls for sunny skies and a high of 83 degrees.

We have a few irrigation leaks on the golf courses that will be addressed ASAP. #11 Plantation, #16 Plantation, and #11 River are on the top of the list. The parts have been ordered and as soon as we are comfortable not having water available for greens for 1-3 days we will complete the repairs. #16 Plantation is an 8″ PVC mainline and to repair it we will have to shut off the water to holes #14-18 and 1. The Plantation irrigation system was installed in the mid 1980’s. The life expectancy for PVC of this age is 25-40 years. This old pipe is brittle and the potential for damage from water hammer when we recharge the system is the main reason we do not turn the system off unless absolutely necessary.

Enjoy this amazing Sunday ☀️
