River Course – Cart Policy for Kingsmill Championship preparation

As our team continues to prepare for the Kingsmill Championship, we will be restricting carts to paths only through the tournament.  This is a way to further ensure we protect the playing surfaces as best possible.  While it is standard protocol to restrict cart traffic within two weeks of the tournament, the high temperatures in this week’s forecast have led us to begin this policy immediately.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make every effort to produce a wonderful golf course and tournament!

What is status of Plantation Course? When will the greens be restored?

    • We closed the Plantation Course as of April 30th to seed new bentgrass into the putting surfaces. All putting surfaces have now been seeded and we are in the process of growing them in. This involves light, frequent water throughout the day to provide adequate moisture for seed germination. The Plantation Course will remain closed through the end of May as our team makes every effort to restore the putting surfaces.
